Step by Step PKI–Complete Certificate Request in Windows IIS

Once you have the new certificate issued by ISP or your internal PKI, we can now install the certificate back to IIS where you generated .csr file.

 

1. Install the certificate

Navigate back to IIS the computer/server you generated the .csr file

Click on “Complete Certificate Request…”

2. Fill the information as below:

File name containing the certificate authority’s response<the certificate file issued by ISP or PKI>
Friendly name<the name shows in certificate as friendly name>
Select a certificate store for the new certificatePersonal

3. Verify certificate has the “Private Key”

Double click on the certificate shown in IIS

Now the certificate has been successfully installed with private key.
